FEVER 1793

Definitely one the best historical novels I've read lately; this is the story of a young girl who during the dark times survives full of dreams.

Mattie, without being particularly intelligent, rich or beautiful manages to survive the plague almost alone finding the process the strength she's inherited from her stubborn mother and her loyal grandfather. 

Interesting notes on very important people from the American history books and a sharp sense of chaos are only the cherry on top.
